July 19, 2018 – A day at sea and a medical emergency

Today is our first day at sea. This was supposed to be a day of rest from my blog but had to post a couple photos anyway. I was resting in my room when the captain came over the speaker and advised that there was a medical emergency and that a helicopter was on route. Shortly after that our room steward advised that we would have to leave the room. Because of the power of the helicopter’s rotors, no one could be on their balconies and in fact the balcony furniture had to be brought into our room. We did go to the middle of the ship where I was able to get the following photos.

We were told that a lady had to be taken to a hospital in Glasgow. Hopefully everything turned out ok.

On a happier note, tonight was a formal night, so Sheryl and I got to get dressed up a bit. Here are a few more photos.

A black and white event for sure
